ITI London Regional Group/University of Westminster: Meet the Client
Tuesday, 23 March 2021, 6-8.30pm
An online version of our perennially popular event
Our panel of translation company representatives will share their advice and experience with participants, talking about how they entered the profession, giving advice on contacting and creating a relationship with translation companies, dealing with queries and difficulties arising from the text and/or project, exploring new subject areas and expanding your skill set.
After initial presentations from the panel and a Q&A session, participants will be grouped into break-out rooms so they can talk more informally with the speakers. The speakers will move between the groups.
The evening will end with a plenary session and reporting back.

Marian Dougan, who has several years’ experience as a translator and editor, will consider how we can improve our translations by casting an editor’s eye over the target text, making the end product more readable and user-friendly.
